During my time at Iron Galaxy Studios, I was lucky enough to work on Activision's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 as both an Environment and Character Artist!
I was involved in the alpha pass for Movie Studio, Rio, and Tokyo, where the level was taken from gray box to first art pass, and the beta pass in Pinball and Tokyo, which was bringing alpha to a polish final state including new art. My pod included 3 other incredible 3D artists - Ryan Sanderson, Savannah Shuff, and Jesús Díaz, and our art lead Everardo Acosta, who did a phenomenal job guiding us through minimal concept art support on Movie Studio.
My core responsibilities included modeling and texturing unique assets and modular kits, implementation of assets, and set dressing. I was also involved in extensive bug-fixing involving the creation of custom LODs and repairing visual and collision bugs on the following maps: College, Kona, Skater Island, Shipyard, Rio, Water Park, Airport, Canada, Pinball, Movie Studio, and Los Angeles.
I'm very proud of all the hard work we did on these maps and even happier to hear THPS fans love Movie Studio! It was a great challenge and I'm so glad to see it be embraced by the people who love this franchise the most.
